About the Series
There are some that think they are good, some that know they are evil, and some that see a gray area—lines that become more blurry every day. These lines intended to separate good from evil. In Scripture, the law drew them.
First John shows us that our world today is not much different from the world of the disciples. Deceit, false teaching, and selfishness still turn the black and white into gray. In this book of the Bible, we learn that Jesus helps us walk closer to God in ways the law never could. We live in freedom despite of —and in the midst of—the world’s darkness. We find freedom and confidence living in His light, and attract others to it.
Where the law drew a line, Jesus defined Love.
